HTC Group proudly joined the Southampton General Hospitals annual charity Golf Day at Corhampton Golf Club via a couple of teams organised by Alan Haskell. While the weather didn’t hold up, the generosity certainly did.
The event, held in support of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), raised an impressive £13,000 for a cause that’s incredibly close to Alan’s heart.
“In 2016, my then 3-year-old son was admitted to PICU with ADEM, a rare brain-damaging disease. He spent 9 months in that unit. Ever since, every bit of charity work I do goes to support the team who helped save his life,” said Alan. Each year, Alan brings at least two teams to the event made up of colleagues and customers. This year he was joined by David Price, Steve Robbins and Michael Brook. HTC’s, Wesley McCarthey hosted the second team.
Alan has worked in the DAF dealership network for 31 years, and his commitment to both the industry and this cause is unwavering. His passion continues to rally support from HTC colleagues and customers alike.
HTC’s David Price and Wes McCarthey joined Alan on the day, along with two valued customers:
“It was wet and windy, we didn’t win but the raffle was kind to me, and more importantly, every penny went to a great cause,” he said.
Well done to Alan, David, Wes and thei teams for contributing to a fantastic cause.
